Our Commitment

PiloTool strives to ensure that our digital services are accessible to people with disabilities. We are actively working toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, as referenced by:

• Israeli Standard 5568 — Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Regulations (Service Accessibility Adjustments)
• EU Web Accessibility Directive (Directive 2016/2102/EU)
• European Accessibility Act (Directive 2019/882/EU), effective June 2025
• ADA Title III — Americans with Disabilities Act digital accessibility guidelines

Conformance Status

PiloTool is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the standard. We are actively addressing known gaps.

Accessibility Features on This Site

• Keyboard navigation — all interactive elements are reachable via keyboard
• Skip to main content — a skip link is available at the top of every page
• Focus indicators — visible focus outlines for keyboard users on all interactive elements
• Color contrast — text meets WCAG AA contrast ratio requirements (minimum 4.5:1)
• Responsive design — the site is fully usable at 320px wide and up to 400% zoom
• Reduced motion — particle animations and transitions are disabled when the user's system has reduced motion enabled
• ARIA landmarks — proper semantic HTML with navigation, main, and footer landmarks
• Decorative content hidden — background canvas and decorative overlays are hidden from screen readers
• Accessibility widget — a third-party accessibility toolbar (UserWay) is available on every page, providing options for font size adjustment, contrast modes, cursor enlargement, and more

Known Limitations

We are aware of the following areas that are currently being improved:

• Some dynamically generated content (tool recommendations, blog cards) may not announce updates to screen readers — we are adding ARIA live regions
• The admin panel is restricted to authenticated users and has limited screen reader optimization — this is being addressed in an upcoming update
• Some third-party embedded content (affiliate tool links) may not meet our accessibility standards — we link to them with appropriate warnings where applicable

• NVDA + Chrome (Windows)
• VoiceOver + Safari (macOS and iOS)
• TalkBack + Chrome (Android)
• Keyboard-only navigation (Chrome, Firefox, Safari)

Technical Specifications

PiloTool relies on the following technologies for conformance:

• HTML5 semantic elements
• CSS3 (with reduced-motion and forced-colors media query support)
• WAI-ARIA 1.1
• JavaScript (non-essential — the site's core content is accessible without JS)
